This position plays a critical role in supporting the movement of freight by coordinating shipments, communicating with customers and carriers, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the transportation process.<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can effectively manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional service to both customers and transportation partners.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate and process freight shipments while ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the transportation lifecycle.<\/li>\n<li>Create and manage transportation orders, activate shipments, and build and assign loads within internal systems.<\/li>\n<li>Schedule pickup and delivery appointments and provide shipment updates to customers and carriers.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor shipment progress through tracking and tracing activities and enter transportation events into company systems.<\/li>\n<li>Process invoicing activities and verify shipment information for accuracy and completeness.<\/li>\n<li>Manage assigned email inboxes and task boards, responding promptly to customer and carrier inquiries.<\/li>\n<li>Document shipment activities, updates, and exceptions in accordance with established procedures and operational guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Resolve customer and carrier requests while maintaining a high level of service and professionalism.<\/li>\n<li>Escalate complex issues through defined procedures when additional support is required.<\/li>\n<li>Review and validate transportation data to ensure compliance with customer expectations and internal standards.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate records and support operational efficiency through strong attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<h3>Required Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or GED.<\/li>\n<li>Previous customer service experience.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Preferred Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree from an accredited college or university.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.<\/li>\n<li>Prior customer service experience in a call center, logistics, transportation, or similar environment.<\/li>\n<li>Strong prioritization and time management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with data entry, order processing, or transportation documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<div><em>Beacon Hill offers a robust benefit package including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and federal and state leave programs as required by applicable agency regulations to those that meet eligibility.
