Our client, located in the Vancouver area, is seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant for a long-term temporary project. This Senior Accounting Consultant will take ownership of a significant reconciliation initiative while supporting an established finance team through a period of transition and an upcoming system conversion.<\/p>\n<p>As the Senior Accounting Consultant, you would be responsible for:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performing <strong>complex balance sheet account reconciliations<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Researching discrepancies and recommending appropriate adjustments<\/li>\n<li>Analyzing financial reports and supporting documentation<\/li>\n<li>Using <strong>Excel<\/strong> extensively to organize and evaluate financial data<\/li>\n<li>Documenting reconciliation findings, corrections, and processes<\/li>\n<li>Assisting with accounting projects related to an upcoming system conversion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a highly visible project and work directly with collaborative finance leadership. The assignment is expected to begin quickly and offers the opportunity to contribute to several key accounting initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>To be considered for this position, you would need:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>5+ years of progressive accounting experience<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Strong balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger experience<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience within p<strong>roperty management, affordable housing, governmental, nonprofit, or another similarly regulated accounting environment preferred<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently, investigate discrepancies, and manage a complex reconciliation project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Yardi experience<\/strong> or prior involvement in an <strong>accounting system conversion<\/strong> is highly preferred.<\/p>\n<p>Please apply now!
