This role is responsible for all phases of project execution, including feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed design, procurement, construction management, commissioning, startup, and post-startup optimization.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, and safe execution while providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires a highly skilled engineering professional capable of working independently on technical matters while leading cross-functional teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver successful industrial projects.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage engineering projects from concept through completion, including feasibility analysis, design, procurement, construction, startup, and optimization.<\/li>\n<li>Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution plans.<\/li>\n<li>Lead the safe and successful delivery of capital projects in manufacturing environments.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical expertise and engineering oversight throughout all project phases.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and direct project teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Establish productive working relationships across diverse teams and organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.<\/li>\n<li>Act independently on complex technical engineering matters.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical and supervisory leadership for capital improvement initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Travel to manufacturing sites as required to support project execution and commissioning activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Required Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master&#8217;s Degree preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Strong experience designing 480V power distribution systems from transformer through motor connections.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Motor Control Centers (MCCs), including:\n<ul>\n<li>Local disconnects<\/li>\n<li>Motor starters<\/li>\n<li>Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)<\/li>\n<li>Control components<\/li>\n<li>Ethernet communications architecture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing the electrical design and installation of large industrial capital projects, ideally exceeding $4 million in value.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to develop:\n<ul>\n<li>Motor lists<\/li>\n<li>Power distribution center (PDC) designs<\/li>\n<li>Feeder systems<\/li>\n<li>MCC configurations and bucket arrangements<\/li>\n<li>VFD and starter sizing<\/li>\n<li>Electrical equipment layouts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Experience directing engineering firms, designers, and consultants in the development of:\n<ul>\n<li>Electrical drawings<\/li>\n<li>Cable schedules<\/li>\n<li>Conduit schedules<\/li>\n<li>Equipment room layouts<\/li>\n<li>Field routing configurations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ability to establish electrical design standards, architecture, and best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Experience performing arc flash and electrical coordination studies.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of:\n<ul>\n<li>NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code)<\/li>\n<li>NFPA 70E<\/li>\n<li>Industrial safety standards<\/li>\n<li>Property loss prevention recommendations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with:\n<ul>\n<li>Microsoft Office<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Project<\/li>\n<li>AutoCAD<\/li>\n<li>EasyPower<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in industrial environments, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Walking production facilities<\/li>\n<li>Climbing ladders and stairs<\/li>\n<li>Kneeling and accessing equipment<\/li>\n<li>Working in varying temperature conditions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.<\/li>\n<li>Seven to ten years of progressive experience leading and executing multi-million-dollar industrial capital projects.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley ControlLogix systems.<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Ideal Candidate<\/h2>\n<p>The ideal candidate is a hands-on Electrical Engineer with extensive industrial project experience and a strong background in power distribution, motor controls, and capital project execution.
