This role is responsible for maximizing equipment reliability, plant uptime, and operational efficiency through effective leadership of maintenance teams, continuous improvement initiatives, capital projects, preventive maintenance programs, and equipment upgrades.<\/p>\n<p>The Maintenance Manager will oversee maintenance personnel, coordinate shutdowns and projects, support production goals, and drive a culture focused on safety, quality, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead, coordinate, and prioritize all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Preventive and predictive maintenance programs<\/li>\n<li>Equipment repairs and rebuilds<\/li>\n<li>Plant shutdowns and turnarounds<\/li>\n<li>Capital projects and equipment installations<\/li>\n<li>Facility upgrades, expansions, and remodels<\/li>\n<li>Continuous improvement initiatives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Manage and develop a maintenance team consisting of millwrights, electricians, technicians, equipment mechanics, rolling stock mechanics, and support personnel.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor plant operations and equipment performance to maximize uptime, reliability, and efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and within budget while minimizing operational disruptions.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee equipment and tooling maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance and cost effectiveness.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain compliance with environmental regulations and implement processes that support environmental stewardship.<\/li>\n<li>Standardize electrical and mechanical components across operations and maintain cross-reference documentation to streamline maintenance activities.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and deliver training programs for maintenance employees to enhance technical skills and safety performance.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the selection, design, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Provide recommendations regarding the purchase of equipment, tools, parts, and maintenance supplies.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with equipment manufacturers and vendors on equipment modifications, upgrades, and new installations.<\/li>\n<li>Manage construction and project activities, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Vendor selection and oversight<\/li>\n<li>Procurement of materials<\/li>\n<li>Scheduling and coordination of work<\/li>\n<li>Contractor management<\/li>\n<li>Safety compliance<\/li>\n<li>Permit compliance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to improve operational performance.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with maintenance recordkeeping requirements and departmental budgets.<\/li>\n<li>Support and implement PLC-based control systems, including converting relay logic systems to programmable logic control platforms when appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Lead troubleshooting and problem resolution for electrical, automation, and computerized systems throughout the facility.<\/li>\n<li>Foster strong communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Champion safety, quality, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Required Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>College degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.<\/li>\n<li>Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Experience leading employee engagement and involvement initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and follow-through.<\/li>\n<li>Proven leadership ability with experience coaching, mentoring, and developing teams.<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.<\/li>\n<li>Seven or more years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.<\/li>\n<li>Previous supervisory or maintenance leadership experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with industrial automation, PLC programming, and controls troubleshooting.<\/li>\n<li>Background leading maintenance teams in a high-volume manufacturing operation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Ideal Candidate<\/h2>\n<p>The ideal candidate is a hands-on maintenance leader with strong mechanical, electrical, and project management expertise.
