Senior Tax Associate<\/h1>\n

Location:<\/strong> Boston, MA<\/p>\n

Schedule:<\/strong> 4 days per week in office<\/p>\n

Compensation:<\/strong> $100,000 – $125,000 base salary + bonus<\/p>\n

Overview<\/h2>\n

A leading alternative investment management firm is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join its Boston-based tax team. This position offers broad exposure to fund tax compliance, tax reporting, tax planning, and special projects across a diverse portfolio of investment strategies. The role provides significant interaction with investment professionals, finance, legal, operations, investor relations, and external advisors in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/h2>\n

* Coordinate with external tax advisors and fund accountants to support the preparation and filing of partnership tax returns and investor tax reporting.<\/p>\n

* Review tax workpapers, allocations, estimates, and supporting schedules prepared by external service providers.<\/p>\n

* Assist with quarterly and annual tax reporting requirements, including estimated tax payments, withholding obligations, and investor reporting.<\/p>\n

* Support tax planning initiatives, fund structuring projects, and other strategic tax matters.<\/p>\n

* Respond to investor tax inquiries and requests in partnership with internal teams.<\/p>\n

* Assist with managing tax notices, audits, and correspondence from federal, state, and local taxing authorities.<\/p>\n

* Prepare presentations, spreadsheets, organizational charts, and other materials related to tax projects and business initiatives.<\/p>\n

* Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams on new transactions, structures, and process improvements.<\/p>\n

* Participate in technology enhancement initiatives, including automation and AI-driven solutions.<\/p>\n

* Maintain tax databases, trackers, and reporting tools while identifying opportunities for increased efficiency.<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/h2>\n

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<\/p>\n

* CPA preferred.<\/p>\n

* 2+ years of tax experience, preferably within public accounting, financial services, asset management, private equity, hedge funds, alternative investments, or related industries.<\/p>\n

* Understanding of partnership taxation and investment fund structures is preferred.<\/p>\n

* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/p>\n

* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.<\/p>\n

* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.<\/p>\n

* Self-starter with a willingness to take ownership of projects and continuously learn.<\/p>\n
