This individual will serve as the sole payroll professional within the organization and will be responsible for managing complex payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional internal customer service.<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Paylocity, strong multi-state payroll knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving processes and business needs.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 600 employees across multiple states, including California, Pennsylvania, Texas, Illinois, and Florida.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related matters and maintain ownership of the end-to-end payroll process.<\/li>\n<li>Administer payroll activities including:\n<ul>\n<li>New hires and onboarding<\/li>\n<li>Employee terminations<\/li>\n<li>Retroactive pay adjustments<\/li>\n<li>PTO payouts<\/li>\n<li>Severance payments<\/li>\n<li>Garnishments<\/li>\n<li>Employee deductions<\/li>\n<li>Payroll tax processing and compliance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Process and reconcile commission payments, including commission draws and complex commission structures.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure employees are accurately assigned to cost centers and business units across approximately 50 agencies\/entities.<\/li>\n<li>Manage payroll allocations and commission transfers between entities as business needs require.<\/li>\n<li>Review payroll audit reports and supporting spreadsheets each payroll cycle, investigating and documenting payroll variances and changes.<\/li>\n<li>Respond to employee inquiries related to:\n<ul>\n<li>W-2s<\/li>\n<li>W-4s<\/li>\n<li>Payroll discrepancies<\/li>\n<li>Tax questions<\/li>\n<li>General payroll requests<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Manage and respond to requests through a shared payroll inbox.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with HR regarding benefit-related payroll deductions and enrollment changes.<\/li>\n<li>Process expense reimbursements and support payroll-related benefit administration systems.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with internal teams to gather documentation and ensure payroll records are accurate and compliant.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation in an audit-ready format.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Required Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 5 years of payroll processing experience.<\/li>\n<li>Extensive Paylocity experience is required.<\/li>\n<li>Experience processing payroll for 500+ employees.<\/li>\n<li>Strong multi-state payroll experience.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments, deductions, and compliance requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Experience handling complex payroll adjustments and reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Strong Excel skills and ability to work with payroll audit reports and supporting spreadsheets.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and customer service skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience processing commission-based payrolls and commission draws.<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting organizations with multiple entities, business units, or cost centers.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with acquisitions and payroll integration activities.<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to both W-2 and 1099 employee populations.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Paycor, ADP, or other payroll platforms in addition to Paylocity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Additional Information<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>This is a highly visible role supporting a rapidly growing organization that has expanded from approximately 150 employees to 600 employees in just a few years.<\/li>\n<li>The payroll function is currently supported by one payroll professional, making this a hands-on role requiring strong ownership and accountability.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates must be comfortable working onsite five days per week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img
