{"id":133068,"date":"2026-09-21T12:41:47","date_gmt":"2026-09-21T12:41:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bhsg.com\/jobs\/job\/1473612_1789994507-construction-litigation-paralegal-tampa-florida\/"},"modified":"2026-09-21T15:18:20","modified_gmt":"2026-09-21T15:18:20","slug":"1473612_1789994507-construction-litigation-paralegal-tampa-florida","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/bhsg.com\/jobs\/job\/1473612_1789994507-construction-litigation-paralegal-tampa-florida\/","title":{"rendered":"Construction Litigation Paralegal"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong><a id=\"myCustomID\" href=\"https:\/\/jobs.beaconhillstaffing.com\/jobs\/job\/1473612_1789994507\">To Apply for this Job Click Here<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>A full-service law firm serving clients locally, nationally, and internationally, is seeking a Paralegal for its Construction Litigation Practice in the Tampa office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Experience working in a mid to large-sized firm and collaborating with various firm-wide departments to handle various responsibilities.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of the rules of procedure governing courts relating to this role, including experience filing pleadings with the court in compliance with court requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with trial preparation, including the readiness of courtrooms and attendance at trials.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct investigations, engage in legal research, develop draft pleadings, prepare motions for review by an assigned attorney, and assist in discovery.<\/li>\n<li>Act as liaison with designated outside counsel and their paralegal staff.<\/li>\n<li>Advise attorney on the priority needs and status of assigned cases.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare draft affidavits of documents, maintain case correspondence and document files.<\/li>\n<li>Contact court administrators and regulatory bodies as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Write memoranda to summarize research results.<\/li>\n<li>Handle large and complex document productions to include retrieval, review, and upload to databases.<\/li>\n<li>Cite-check and edit legal documents.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain documents, transcripts, and work product databases.<\/li>\n<li>Organize and prepare exhibit lists and privilege logs.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for coordination of work with outside document\/litigation vendors.<\/li>\n<li>Strong oral and written communication skills to draft and proofread correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.<\/li>\n<li>Experience tracking and billing professional time to client files.<\/li>\n<li>Manage electronic and paper case files.<\/li>\n<li>The above description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this position. You may be required to perform other duties as assigned, which may include work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods, or to otherwise balance the workload.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Minimum of five years of Florida law firm experience required<\/li>\n<li>Florida construction litigation experience required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Experience working with multiple attorneys required.<\/li>\n<li>Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure and time constraints.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities.<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail, initiative and follow-through required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly express thoughts to others and exchange information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments, vendors, and clients.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Florida Court procedures, processes, and filing requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including extensive knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and experience working with law firm case management and billing software required.
