Position starts early October 2026 through August 2027. Schedule is Saturday and Sunday, shifts varying between1pm-9pm; 6am-2pm; 6:30am-2:30pm EST. 15 hours per week, onsite.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for the delivery and collection of patient menus and meal trays for assigned floors.<br \/> * Ensures patients receive appropriate trays, enteral feedings, nourishments, and snacks within established timeframes.<br \/> * Maintains nourishment supplies in nursing unit pantries.<br \/> * Provides room service information to patients.<br \/> * Acts as a liaison between Clinical Dietitians and Nursing personnel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Menu Distribution and Collection<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Distributes patient menus for meal service within established timeframes and collects menus when appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Assists patients with menu selections.<\/li>\n<li>Distributes and collects Patient Satisfaction Surveys.<\/li>\n<li>Generates and prints all necessary reports, including Exception Files, Unit Round Sheets, and Missed Meal Reports.<\/li>\n<li>Uses the Exception File and Unit Round Sheet to ensure every listed patient receives a menu and verifies all menu information, including name, room number, identification number, and diet order.<\/li>\n<li>Takes corrective action by contacting the Diet Office or nursing station when information is incorrect or missing.<\/li>\n<li>Identifies late admissions and new patients who have not received menus and distributes menus at established times.<\/li>\n<li>Contacts patients who did not order a meal, identifies reasons for missed meals, and determines appropriate intervention according to departmental procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Assesses which meal ordering system is appropriate during a patient&#8217;s stay based on established criteria.<\/li>\n<li>Welcomes new patients and orients them to the Room Service Program, when applicable.<\/li>\n<li>Assists patients with meal selections and offers substitutions when standard menu options do not meet their preferences.<\/li>\n<li>Collects completed menus and sends them to the Diet Office or places meal orders when applicable.<\/li>\n<li>Records patients&#8217;
