This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records, overseeing the monthly close process, supporting grant and program accounting, and providing financial reporting and analysis to organizational leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong nonprofit accounting experience, a solid understanding of fund accounting, and a collaborative approach to working with program teams.<\/p>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate accounting records across multiple programs, grants, and funding sources.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly financial statements, budget-to-actual reports, and supporting schedules for management review.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze financial performance and investigate variances, providing recommendations and guidance to department leaders.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor grant expenditures and revenue recognition to ensure compliance with donor restrictions and funding agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with grant billing, reimbursements, and financial reporting requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and resolve outstanding discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li>Review accounts payable, cash receipts, and other accounting transactions to ensure proper coding and compliance with internal controls.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with program managers to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.<\/li>\n<li>Track capital expenditures, fixed assets, and project-related spending.<\/li>\n<li>Support annual audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and requested documentation for external auditors.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adherence to GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, and organizational financial policies.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with process improvements, documentation of accounting procedures, and implementation of best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Provide training and guidance to accounting staff and program personnel on financial policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as a backup resource for other accounting functions and participate in special projects as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.<\/li>\n<li>5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and nonprofit fund accounting.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with grants management, restricted funding, and donor reporting preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software such as Sage Intacct, Financial Edge, NetSuite, MIP, or similar ERP systems.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/ZmluYW5jZWxheC4xNjYxOS4xMjU4NEBiZWFjb25oaWxsLmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ.gif\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">13324424_1790641814<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong><a id=\"otherId\" href=\"https:\/\/jobs.beaconhillstaffing.com\/jobs\/job\/13324424_1790641814\">To Apply for this Job Click Here<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":3770,"template":"","meta":{"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_hide_content":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"","_relevanssi_noindex_reason":"","inline_featured_image":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Carson, California","_application":"financelax.16619.12584@beaconhill.aplitrak.com","_company_name":"Beacon Hill Staffing Group","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[201,203],"job-types":[2,293],"class_list":["post-133602","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","job-type-full-time","job-type-temp-to-hire"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.5 -
