This is a senior level role requiring deep leadership and prior hands on engineering experience as well as knowledge of GxP systems.<\/p>\n<p>Compensation: $90-\/115hr (Dending on experience and expertise)<\/p>\n<p>Onsite: 3 days a week in Cambridge \/Somerville MA<\/p>\n<p>Terms: 6 month contract to hire <\/p>\n<p><strong>As the Manager of Infrastructure Services, you will:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as the senior engineering leader and primary technical owner for the organization&#8217;s cloud, network, identity, compute, and infrastructure platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Own the delivery, availability, and reliability of enterprise infrastructure services.<\/li>\n<li>Lead cloud operations, network services, identity platforms, and infrastructure engineering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the engineering, administration, and service delivery of cloud, server, storage, network, identity, backup, and core infrastructure platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Own infrastructure operations, ensuring services meet performance, availability, capacity, security, and reliability objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and execute technology roadmaps, standards, and lifecycle strategies that support organizational growth and evolving business requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Drive automation, standardization, and operational efficiencies through scripting, infrastructure management tools, and modern operational practices.<\/li>\n<li>Own enterprise identity and access management services, including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, authentication, authorization, privileged access management, and identity governance.<\/li>\n<li>Establish monitoring, alerting, observability, and operational management practices to proactively identify and resolve performance, availability, and capacity issues.<\/li>\n<li>Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities, ensuring recovery objectives are defined, tested, and maintained.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with Cybersecurity to strengthen infrastructure security, vulnerability remediation, compliance monitoring, and operational risk management.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in major incident response, problem management, root cause investigations, and remediation efforts to improve service stability and reliability.<\/li>\n<li>Lead and develop infrastructure engineers and administrators while fostering technical excellence, operational discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Manage budgets, procurement, contracts, vendors, cloud providers, and managed service providers, ensuring services meet performance expectations, contractual obligations, and business requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience in biotech, pharma, or other regulated industries<\/li>\n<li>10+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments<\/li>\n<li>5+ years leading infrastructure engineering or operations functions<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting geographically distributed users across multiple offices within mid-to-large organizations (1,000+ employees)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of GxP, validated systems, and compliance requirements<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience leading technical staff and managing outsourced service providers<\/li>\n<li>Strong experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and hybrid infrastructure environments<\/li>\n<li>Experience with networking technologies including routing, switching, wireless networking, firewalls, VPNs, and enterprise connectivity services<\/li>\n<li>Strong experience with infrastructure operations, including monitoring, alerting, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational support processes<\/li>\n<li>Experience with scripting and automation technologies (e.g., PowerShell) to improve operational efficiency and platform management<\/li>\n<li>Experience with infrastructure security, vulnerability management, identity governance, and operational compliance requirements<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of cloud, cybersecurity, endpoint management, and enterprise application architectures.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to communicate technical concepts and support both technical and non-technical stakeholders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferred<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ITIL certification<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, or networking
