{"id":134040,"date":"2026-10-06T16:40:07","date_gmt":"2026-10-06T16:40:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bhsg.com\/jobs\/job\/clt1477112_1791304807-payroll-specialist-charlotte-north-carolina\/"},"modified":"2026-10-06T20:13:58","modified_gmt":"2026-10-06T20:13:58","slug":"clt1477112_1791304807-payroll-specialist-charlotte-north-carolina","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/bhsg.com\/jobs\/job\/clt1477112_1791304807-payroll-specialist-charlotte-north-carolina\/","title":{"rendered":"Payroll Specialist"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong><a id=\"myCustomID\" href=\"https:\/\/jobs.beaconhillstaffing.com\/jobs\/job\/CLT1477112_1791304807\">To Apply for this Job Click Here<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<h2>Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Process weekly multi-state payroll accurately and timely for both hourly and salaried employees in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Import payroll data, verify pay information, resolve discrepancies, and ensure payroll is completed efficiently each pay cycle.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, tax withholding updates, direct deposits, benefit deductions, and garnishments.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with payroll-related regulations, including child support orders, wage garnishments, and tax requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries and assist with general ledger reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Process weekly disbursements related to employee benefits, including 401(k), HSA, and other benefit plans.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with year-end payroll activities, including reconciliations and audit support.<\/li>\n<li>Support COBRA administration.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with branch and department leaders to investigate and resolve payroll questions and discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li>Provide cross-functional support to Accounting and Human Resources teams, assisting with reconciliations, journal entries, benefits administration, and special projects as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as a collaborative team member, providing administrative and operational support during non-peak payroll periods.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Requirements<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>2-5 years of payroll processing experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience processing multi-state payroll.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, garnishments, and payroll compliance requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Experience handling employee payroll changes, deductions, benefits, and payroll-related inquiries.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage high-volume payroll processing with strong attention to detail and accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Experience preparing payroll-related journal entries and assisting with account reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and payroll information.<\/li>\n<li>Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist Human Resources and Accounting departments as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/Y2x0Zi4xODAxOC4xMjU4NEBiZWFjb25oaWxsLmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ.gif\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">CLT1477112_1791304807<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong><a id=\"otherId\" href=\"https:\/\/jobs.beaconhillstaffing.com\/jobs\/job\/CLT1477112_1791304807\">To Apply for this Job Click Here<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":3770,"template":"","meta":{"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_hide_content":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"","_relevanssi_noindex_reason":"","inline_featured_image":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Charlotte, North Carolina","_application":"cltf.18018.12584@beaconhill.aplitrak.com","_company_name":"Beacon Hill Staffing Group","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[201,209],"job-types":[2,293],"class_list":["post-134040","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","job-type-full-time","job-type-temp-to-hire"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.6 -
