This role combines prescription review and dispensing, patient and provider communication, medication management, and oversight of Pharmacy Technicians, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and patient safety.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Review, prepare\/compound, and provide final approval of prescription orders, ensuring medications are accurately dispensed, packaged, and labeled.<\/li>\n<li>Provide pharmaceutical care by reviewing medication requests and refills, identifying medication-related concerns, and making recommendations to healthcare providers as appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as a point of contact for patients, families, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals regarding medications and pharmacotherapy-related questions.<\/li>\n<li>Educate patients on medication use, potential side effects, contraindications, and applicable care plan options.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee Pharmacy Technicians supporting medication reconciliation, physician order entry, inventory management, medication storage, labeling, and packaging.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate documentation related to patient care decisions, medication fulfillment, billing, recordkeeping, and medication shipments.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure pharmacy practices remain compliant with applicable state and federal regulations, internal policies, and established procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program with a <strong>current, active pharmacist license\/registration in good standing<\/strong> in the state where practice will occur.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2+ years of experience<\/strong> in pharmacy distribution and packaging, including some exposure to geriatrics and\/or chronic care management.<\/li>\n<li>Strong clinical judgment and analytical skills, including the ability to identify and address medication-related concerns.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations, including HIPAA and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong technical and computer skills with the ability to navigate pharmacy software.<\/li>\n<li>Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines without sacrificing quality.<\/li>\n<li>Experience or a strong interest in <strong>clinical pharmacogenomics<\/strong> is preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Schedule &amp;
