This position requires strong attention to detail, solid GAAP knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple accounting responsibilities while meeting deadlines.<\/p>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and post monthly journal entries and account adjustments.<\/li>\n<li>Perform balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate general ledger activity and investigate account discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash-related accounting as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed asset schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze account activity and research variances or unusual transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and budget-to-actual reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare documentation and schedules for external audits.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accounting transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP.<\/li>\n<li>Support improvements to accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.<\/li>\n<li>3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.<\/li>\n<li>Strong general ledger and month-end close experience.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP\/XLOOKUP.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with ERP\/accounting systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Preferred Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting annual audits and preparing audit schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in nonprofit, association, professional services, government contracting, or corporate accounting environments is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/ZmluYW5jZWRjLjM1NzMxLjEyNTg0QGJlYWNvbmhpbGwuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">F4441014-AP_1791988211<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong><a id=\"otherId\" href=\"https:\/\/jobs.beaconhillstaffing.com\/jobs\/job\/F4441014-AP_1791988211\">To Apply for this Job Click Here<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":3770,"template":"","meta":{"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_hide_content":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"","_relevanssi_noindex_reason":"","inline_featured_image":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Chevy Chase, Maryland","_application":"financedc.35731.12584@beaconhill.aplitrak.com","_company_name":"Beacon Hill Staffing Group","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[201,203],"job-types":[2],"class_list":["post-134485","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","job-type-full-time"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.7 -
