This position is ideal for an early-career accounting professional interested in building experience within the <strong>asset management, private equity, hedge fund, or financial services industry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Fund Accountant will assist with daily and monthly accounting activities, reconciliations, investment activity, financial reporting, and preparation of fund-level information. The successful candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel.<\/p>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform daily and monthly <strong>fund accounting<\/strong> activities for assigned investment funds.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and post <strong>journal entries<\/strong> and maintain general ledger activity.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with <strong>month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close<\/strong> processes.<\/li>\n<li>Perform <strong>cash, bank, investment, and position reconciliations<\/strong> and research discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li>Record investment transactions, income, expenses, fees, and other fund activity.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the calculation and review of <strong>Net Asset Value (NAV)<\/strong> and related fund reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Track <strong>capital contributions, distributions, subscriptions, and redemptions<\/strong>, depending on fund structure.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with preparation of <strong>financial statements and investor reporting<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain schedules supporting fund balances and financial reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Support external auditors by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.<\/li>\n<li>Review accounting activity for accuracy and investigate differences.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with senior fund accountants, investment operations, administrators, auditors, and other internal teams.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with ad hoc accounting and financial analysis projects as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in <strong>Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>0-2 years of accounting or finance experience<\/strong&gt;;
