This entry-level position is designed for someone who is interested in developing a career in <strong>fund accounting, asset management, investment operations, or financial services<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Specialist will assist with <strong>fund accounting, NAV support, cash and position reconciliations, investment transaction processing, financial reporting, and operational controls<\/strong>. The role will work closely with internal accounting, finance, and investment operations teams as well as external fund administrators, custodians, and other service providers.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Support daily and monthly <strong>fund accounting and investment operations<\/strong> activities.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the calculation, review, and validation of <strong>Net Asset Value (NAV)<\/strong> and supporting fund accounting schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Perform <strong>cash, position, portfolio, and general ledger reconciliations<\/strong>, researching and resolving discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li>Review and process investment-related activity, including <strong>purchases, sales, income, expenses, fees, and cash movements<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with monitoring <strong>trade and settlement activity<\/strong> and resolving outstanding items with internal teams and external service providers.<\/li>\n<li>Record and review <strong>journal entries and general ledger activity<\/strong> related to investment funds.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with <strong>month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close<\/strong> processes.<\/li>\n<li>Support the preparation and review of <strong>fund financial statements, financial schedules, and management reporting<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Review portfolio and accounting data for accuracy and investigate differences between internal records and external records.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with tracking <strong>dividends, interest income, investment expenses, management fees, and other fund-related activity<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with <strong>fund administrators, custodians, banks, brokers, and other third-party service providers<\/strong> to research and resolve accounting or operational discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain supporting documentation for reconciliations, transactions, and accounting entries.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with <strong>audit requests and financial reporting support<\/strong>, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Support internal controls and established accounting and operational procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare Excel-based reports and perform financial data analysis as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in projects focused on improving <strong>fund accounting processes, data quality, controls, and operational efficiency<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in <strong>Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration<\/strong>, or a related discipline.<\/li>\n<li><strong>0-2 years of relevant experience<\/strong&gt;;
