This position will be responsible for ensuring revenue transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with ASC 606 and applicable GAAP standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with deferred revenue schedules, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.<\/p>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform monthly revenue recognition activities in accordance with ASC 606 and GAAP.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and reconcile deferred revenue schedules, ensuring revenue is recognized in the appropriate accounting periods.<\/li>\n<li>Review customer contracts and supporting documentation to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to revenue, deferred revenue, accruals, and other general ledger accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li>Support the month-end and year-end close processes.<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile revenue-related accounts and ensure transactions are accurately reflected in the general ledger.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with accounts receivable activity and ensure consistency between billing, revenue recognition, and the GL.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis related to revenue accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with Accounting, Finance, Billing, and other internal teams to resolve revenue-related issues.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with lease-related accounting and compliance with ASC 842, as applicable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.<\/li>\n<li>3+ years of accounting experience, preferably with direct revenue accounting responsibilities.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing and reconciling deferred revenue.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with month-end close, journal entries, GL reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with ASC 842 or ASC 606 is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP\/XLOOKUP, and reconciliation work.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working within an ERP\/accounting system such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/counter.adcourier.com\/ZmluYW5jZWRjLjk4MDQwLjEyNTg0QGJlYWNvbmhpbGwuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff\">F5471030-AP_1793364756<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong><a id=\"otherId\" href=\"https:\/\/jobs.beaconhillstaffing.com\/jobs\/job\/F5471030-AP_1793364756\">To Apply for this Job Click Here<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":3770,"template":"","meta":{"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_hide_content":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"","_relevanssi_noindex_reason":"","inline_featured_image":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Washington, District of Columbia","_application":"financedc.98040.12584@beaconhill.aplitrak.com","_company_name":"Beacon Hill Staffing Group","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[201,203],"job-types":[2],"class_list":["post-135479","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","job-type-full-time"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.8 -
