This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, analyzing account activity, and ensuring accounting processes are completed accurately and on schedule.<\/div>\n<div class=\"scriptor-paragraph\">The ideal candidate has strong general accounting knowledge, experience owning portions of the monthly close process, and the ability to work independently while partnering with accounting and operational teams.<\/div>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Manage and support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and other recurring or adjusting entries.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reporting.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Perform variance analysis and investigate significant fluctuations in revenue, expenses, and balance sheet accounts.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Maintain supporting schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other general ledger accounts.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounting activities as needed, including transaction review, reconciliations, and issue resolution.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Support cash management and bank reconciliations, including researching outstanding or unusual transactions.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes by providing historical financial data and account-level analysis.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, documentation, and auditor requests.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Ensure accounting activities are completed in accordance with GAAP and established internal controls.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency within the close and reporting processes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Assist with the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Partner with internal departments to research financial questions and resolve accounting discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Support Accounting Manager, Controller, and finance leadership with special projects and financial analysis as needed.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo0\">Provide guidance and support to Staff Accountants and other members of the accounting team when appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo1\">Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo1\">Approximately 3-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, depending on the complexity of the organization.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo1\">Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo1\">Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo1\">Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo1\">Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP\/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and other commonly used financial functions.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo1\">Experience working with an ERP or accounting system such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo1\">Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet accounting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo1\">Strong written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li class=\"scriptor-listItemlist!list-Solo1\">Ability to work independently while collaborating
