We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support the day-to-day accounting operations of our finance team. This role is ideal for an entry-level accounting professional with hands-on experience in transactional accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger support. The Accounting Specialist will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and timely processing of routine accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and cash application
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation
- Assist with resolving discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and customer accounts
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5+ years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, AP, or AR role
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.) is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas)
