Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll while maintaining compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations. This role supports overall financial accuracy and provides excellent service to employees regarding payroll-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:
* Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
* Review and verify timesheets, wage calculations, deductions, and tax withholdings.
* Maintain and update employee payroll records.
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
* Manage payroll-related deductions including benefits, garnishments, and taxes.
* Reconcile payroll reports and general ledger accounts.
* Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
* Assist with year-end processing.

Skills & Qualifications:
* 2-5+ years of payroll processing experience.
* Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
* Experience with payroll systems.
* Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
* Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :
* CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification.
* Experience processing multi-state payroll.
* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
