We are partnering with a growing organization in Schaumburg, Illinois, seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support day‑to‑day HR operations and employee relations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, can manage multiple priorities, and is motivated by contributing to a positive and compliant workplace. This is a contract opportunity with potential for extension and follows a hybrid schedule, with onsite presence required several days per week.
Job Responsibilities

Provide support across core HR functions, including employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance

Serve as a resource for employees and managers, addressing HR inquiries and guiding them through policies and procedures

Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening, and interview coordination

Manage new‑hire onboarding, orientation, and documentation to ensure a smooth transition

Support performance management processes, including tracking reviews and assisting with corrective action documentation

Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS systems and ensure data integrity

Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and employee questions

Help coordinate training sessions, HR initiatives, and employee engagement activities

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal HR policies

Support special HR projects and administrative tasks as needed
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience

3-5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a mid‑sized or fast‑paced environment

Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Experience with HRIS systems; open to various platforms

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
