A Beacon Hill client in NJ is looking for a Controller to oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and internal controls. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and manages a team of accounting professionals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in multi-entity financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
- Develop and maintain internal accounting controls and policies
- Coordinate annual audits and work with external auditors
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning efforts
- Monitor company financial performance and provide strategic recommendations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Support ERP system improvements and process automation initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
