Title: Head of Finance & Accounting
Comp: $160,000-$185,000 + Bonus
Location: West Hollywood (3 days onsite)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Head of Finance & Accounting to lead and scale the finance function while serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership. Reporting to the CEO and partnering with the Fractional CFO, this role combines financial leadership, operational execution, and business partnership to support growth, profitability, and scalability.
As part of a planned succession, this operator will assume responsibilities currently managed by the long-term CFO/Controller, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO and Fractional CFO on financial strategy, planning, and decision-making.
- Deliver insights on growth, profitability, resource allocation, and operational performance.
- Collaborate with teams to align financial objectives with business goals.
- Support long-term planning through forecasting, scenario modeling, and investment analysis.
- Lead all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A activities.
- Ensure timely, accurate financial statements and GAAP compliance.
- Maintain strong internal controls and data integrity across financial systems.
- Analyze business performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Monitor client profitability, project margins, staff utilization, billability, and revenue forecasting.
- Support pricing strategies, staffing models, and resource planning decisions.
- Oversee revenue recognition, billing, and forecasting across retainer, project-based, and fee-based engagements.
- Partner with account leadership to improve client profitability and contract performance.
- Lead cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and treasury activities.
- Manage banking relationships and optimize working capital, including AR, AP, and cash management.
- Improve cash conversion and minimize revenue leakage.
- Drive financial process improvements and modernization initiatives.
- Oversee insurance programs, tax compliance, audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external CPA and tax advisors.
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while fostering accountability and business partnership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
- Experience in entertainment, advertising, marketing, media, professional services, or other project-based environments.
- Strong expertise in accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, cash flow management, and business partnering.
- Proven success improving financial performance, processes, and systems.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude in a business setting.
