Staffing Consultant
Position Summary:
The Staffing Consultant is responsible for candidate recruitment within our temporary Associates services division. In this role, you will source, screen, interview and place candidates for employment on available temporary, temp-to-hire and contract staffing assignments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Source prospective candidates utilizing internet research, social media, referral networking, direct recruiting, resume databases, job postings and other advertising.
- Write, edit, post and update advertisements on job boards and our website.
- Prequalify candidates through phone screens and assess potential for placement.
- Conduct in-person interviews with candidates to review their background, experience, skills and qualifications for current and future openings.
- Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Prepare candidates for interviews providing general interview tips and detailed client information.
- Debrief with candidates and provide post-interview feedback to clients.
- Perform detailed checks on all candidates and administer background checks verifying employment, education, credit history as well as potential drug testing.
- Coordinate all documentation for placed contractors including employment agreements, new hire paperwork, proper identification, written references and relevant certifications.
- Negotiate pay rates for contractors placed on assignment or salaries for contractors converted to full-time employees of our client companies.
- Perform check-in and follow-up calls to candidates on assignment to make sure assignments start smoothly and performance is satisfactory.
- Represent our company at job fairs and recruiting events.
- Utilize proprietary erecruit database to enter, maintain and update candidate information.
- Work closely with a team of Account Executives and Staffing Consultants to gain a thorough understanding of hiring practices, work environments and corporate cultures at client companies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a competitive academic institution.
- Established record of achievement in academic, extracurricular, athletic and leadership activities.
- Self-motivation demonstrated by work experience in high school, college and since graduation.
- Ability to work equally well independently and as part of team.
- Confidence in your ability to make a positive first impression on the phone and in person.
- Natural curiosity that allows you to interact well with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
- Positive, no job too big or too small attitude and high level of patience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen as well as you speak.
- Effective time management skills that allow you to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, client-driven, team-oriented environment.
- Proven ability to handle constructive criticism and coaching resulting in immediate improvements.
- Professional demeanor and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
