Senior Accountant – Distribution Company – 6 to 9 month CONTRACT
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a growing distribution organization. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting, with a strong emphasis on inventory and cost accounting.
What You’ll Do

Handle month-end close including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations

Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports

Manage inventory accounting including reconciliations, cycle counts, and COGS
-
Analyze inventory and operational variances
-
Reconcile inventory sub-ledgers to the general ledger
-
Support physical inventory counts and audit requests
-
Maintain internal controls and accounting processes
-
Partner with operations and warehouse teams to ensure accurate financial data
What We’re Looking For
-
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in distribution, manufacturing, or warehouse environments
-
Strong inventory and cost accounting experience
-
ERP system experience
-
Advanced Excel skills
