Director of Finance

A leading entertainment and gaming organization is seeking a strategic Director of Finance to oversee financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and operational finance for multiple business units. This individual will serve as a key business partner to executive leadership, helping drive financial performance, support growth initiatives, and provide actionable insights across gaming, media, and content operations.

The ideal candidate combines strong FP&A expertise with leadership experience, a strategic mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
• Develop financial models and business cases to support new initiatives, investments, acquisitions, and growth opportunities
• Partner with senior leadership to provide financial guidance and strategic recommendations
• Prepare and present monthly financial reporting packages, variance analyses, and performance metrics
• Monitor departmental spending and partner with business leaders to ensure adherence to budgets and financial objectives
• Analyze operational and project-level performance to identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives
• Serve as a primary liaison between divisional leadership and corporate finance teams
• Support implementation, enhancement, and optimization of financial planning systems and reporting tools
• Assist with financial due diligence, investment analysis, and strategic planning initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Business Development, Production, Marketing, Accounting, and Executive Leadership teams
• Drive process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy, forecasting capabilities, and operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• MBA, CPA, or advanced finance/accounting credentials strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive finance, FP&A, or strategic finance experience
• Prior experience within gaming, entertainment, media, technology, or digital content industries preferred
• Advanced financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical capabilities
• Experience supporting senior executives and presenting financial results to leadership teams
• Strong knowledge of financial systems, ERP platforms, and reporting tools (Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive, or similar)
• Excellent communication and business partnering skills
• Ability to influence stakeholders and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Proven leadership experience developing teams and driving cross-functional initiatives
