Position Overview
We are seeking a Chemist to support laboratory testing, analytical activities, and process support within a regulated manufacturing and laboratory environment. This role will be responsible for conducting routine and non‑routine chemical analyses, maintaining laboratory equipment, and supporting quality, safety, and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform chemical analyses using standard laboratory techniques and instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV‑Vis, wet chemistry)
- Document test results accurately in laboratory notebooks, datasheets, or electronic systems
- Prepare reagents, standards, and samples according to established procedures
- Troubleshoot analytical methods and instrumentation issues as needed
- Support method development, method validation, and continuous improvement efforts
- Follow GMP, GLP, and safety regulations at all times
- Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and equipment calibration records
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline
- Hands‑on laboratory experience (academic, internship, or industry)
- Familiarity with analytical instrumentation and standard lab techniques
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or specialty manufacturing
- Experience working in GMP and/or regulated laboratory environments
- Exposure to method development, validation, or stability testing
Work Environment
- Full‑time, onsite role in Hartwell, GA
