Chemical manufacturer in search of an experienced Quality Control Chemist for their quality department.
Job Description:
Candidate will be tasked with working in the Quality department and will be asked to run and operate several different wet lab and analytical lab equipment. The chemist will be completing finished good testing on a variety of chemical products. Tests will include Karl Fischer, melting point, color testing, titrations, flash point, viscosity and HPLC. This candidate will be working with production to make sure that quality standards are being met and if issues arise they will be tasked with fixing the problem quickly and efficiently.
Necessary Qualifications:
– 4 year degree in a scientific discipline, preferably in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
– 1 year of experience working with analytical chemistry equipment (quality control wet lab tests such as titrations, pH, viscosity, and Karl Fischer).
– 1 year of experience working with HPLC
Preferred Qualifications:
– Chemical industry experience
– Experience working in a quality control role in a production setting
– Experience working with GC and ICP
