Job Title: PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA)

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia – Hybrid (3 days onsite to start, flexibility after)

About the Opportunity:

• We’re hiring a PostgreSQL DBA for a contract-to-hire role supporting the expansion of an innovative tech platform. you’ll be part of a growing IT team building out a next-generation electronic monitoring system in the cloud.
• This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, startup-style environments and is eager to be hands-on with product development, data strategy, and platform modernization.

What You’ll Be Working On:

• Supporting the development of a cloud-based electronic monitoring system including wearables, predictive analytics tools, and mobile supervision applications
• Building and optimizing PostgreSQL databases for high-performance cloud environments
• Collaborating with a scrum team (Dev, QA, Product Owner, etc.) on greenfield platform development
• Contributing to data analysis, performance tuning, and general DBA functions
• Occasionally jumping in to assist with adjacent tech areas – we’re a startup, and everyone wears a few hats!

Must-Have Experience:

• 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL database administration
• Strong skills in data analysis, performance tuning, and data modeling
• Ability to operate independently and under pressure – this is a high-ownership environment
• Experience in startup environments or consulting roles
• Comfortable being flexible and supporting adjacent tasks as needed

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• MongoDB experience
• Exposure to AWS Aurora
• Familiarity with Go language
• Background in database development or data science
