Our client, a recognized industry leader in IT Consulting located in Buffalo Grove, seeks a temporary-to-hire Dispatcher. The Dispatcher is directly responsible to ensure confirmation of technician’s pre-call and daily site check in. The Dispatcher is responsible for working time sensitive tasks to ensure the timely arrival of the technician to the customer’s site by the designated scheduled trip time with all required tools and documentation. They are also responsible for the escalation back to the appropriate team of all issues that could affect the technician’s ability to be onsite per the scheduled time required. The Contract Coordinator is the first person to speak with the technician company regarding the job to be completed; the information they share and expectation they set is critical to the technician being successful onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Confirm technician’s arrival at the customer’s assigned trip at the scheduled trip time.
- Conduct time sensitive confirmation calls on 120+ work orders per day.
- Collection specific information related to a successful arrival, confirm receipt of documents and upload that into the system.
- Monitor progress of the technician to verify he/she arrived to the site on time.
- Manage escalations to the appropriate teams if the technician does not arrive on time.
- Log in to Dispatch queue daily and be available to take calls from technicians and internal project team members.
- Negotiate technician rates for labor and travel.
- Dispatch 40-50 work orders per day based on priority.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 1+ year of work experience in a business or customer facing setting preferably in a telecommunications environment.
- Experience in outbound call center supporting technology is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills; outstanding phone etiquette, ability to compose sentences using proper grammar, communicate clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and diplomatically with customers, subcontractors and internal departments.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Prefer a technical background in customer premise equipment in telephony, data or networking.
