A company in West Austin is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team on a short-term contract basis. This is a fully onsite role designed to support a detailed audit and review of the company’s existing payroll systems and processes. This is a 1-2 month long contract position starting ASAP- pay is flexible depending on experience.
Responsibilities:

Conduct a comprehensive audit of current payroll processes and procedures

Identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, or compliance issues

Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy

Recommend improvements and solutions to enhance payroll operations

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Qualifications:

Proven experience in payroll processing and payroll audits

In-depth knowledge of payroll systems and best practices

Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively

Availability to work onsite full-time for the duration of the contract
