Human Resources Manager – Manufacturing
Location: Gaylord, MN
Salary: $120 – $135K +10% bonus
Overview:
Beacon Hill’s client, a leading company in the food processing and distribution industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to join its team in Gaylord, Minnesota. The Sr HR Manager will report directly to the Regional HR Director and act as a key partner to plant leadership. This is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for driving positive employee relations, aligning HR practices with business objectives, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
This is an exciting direct hire role that is fully onsite in Gaylord, MN.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a strategic partner to leadership by promoting a positive work environment and ensuring HR initiatives align with business goals.

Lead and mentor the onsite HR team, setting clear priorities and providing guidance on HR best practices and compliance.

Manage employee relations, provide counseling, and conduct investigations to resolve workplace issues in alignment with company policies.

Collaborate on the development and execution of local recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.

Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies and employment laws across the workforce.

Work with corporate Centers of Excellence to assess, design, and implement employee development and training programs.

Audit and manage employee records for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Support and lead special projects, including initiatives resulting from business changes such as mergers or acquisitions.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

5+ years of HR leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

Strong knowledge of employment laws at the local, state, and federal levels.

Familiarity with HRIS, payroll systems, and timekeeping platforms.

Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Experience managing in union and non-union environments preferred.

Proven ability to build strong relationships across diverse employee groups and levels.

Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Background in managing HR operations in newly merged or acquired facilities is highly desirable.
