We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our team to support a large-scale legacy application modernization initiative. Our goal is to migrate custom applications and databases built in FoxPro and Visual Basic 6 (VB6) to a modern Oracle-based infrastructure.
You’ll play a critical role in rewriting database logic and application code to prepare for handoff to the team for deployment. Your primary focus will be translating and converting the existing FoxPro/DBF and VB6 logic to interface with Oracle. Application logic updates will follow in a later phase.

What You’ll Do:
- Analyze, modify, and document legacy code in FoxPro 7 and VB6
- Convert database access logic to Oracle 10+
- Collaborate with in-house development team and deployment team
- Work in a manufacturing environment with high availability needs (24/7)
- Support code handoff and testing processes
- Help plan for future upgrades to .NET (v4+, .NET Core 6+)
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 7+ years of software development experience in legacy and modern environments
- Strong skills in FoxPro (application and DBF data layer) and VB6
- Hands-on experience with Oracle databases
- Previous work with custom, process-tracking, or transactional systems
- Experience in manufacturing or 24/7 critical systems is highly desired
- Comfortable making changes to production systems while minimizing downtime
- Knowledge of ERP integrations (SAP experience is a bonus)
Bonus Skills:
- C# and .NET (v4+ and .NET Core 6+)
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, NC SQL databases
