Research Assistant – 100% Onsite | Columbus, OH

We are seeking a Research Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of a research facility focused on advancing scientific discovery. This is a hands-on position that plays a key role in maintaining high standards of care and compliance in a regulated research environment.
What You’ll Be Doing

Assist in daily care and observation of research animals

Support general facility upkeep and routine operational tasks

Monitor animals and environments to help ensure research quality and integrity

Help manage supplies, equipment, and facility resources

Maintain detailed and accurate records in accordance with established protocols

Collaborate with team members to support ongoing research activities

Participate in other assigned responsibilities as needed
Ideal Background
-
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, particularly in a scientific or technical field
-
Prior experience working with animals in a research, clinical, or husbandry setting is strongly preferred

Experience with rodent handling or colony management is a plus
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment

Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed
