Status: Contract (14 Weeks, July-October 2025)
Schedule: 32 hours/week – Flexible: 4 full days or 5 shorter days
Location: Onsite in Woodbury, MN (1 day remote after training)
Position Summary
Beacon Hill is partnering with a growing healthcare client to identify a Benefits and Leave Administrator to join their Total Rewards team on a 14-week contract covering a leave. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented HR professional with at least two years of benefits or leave administration experience, who takes pride in accuracy, customer service, and team collaboration.
You’ll support leave of absence (LOA) administration, benefits coordination, and workers’ compensation reporting for a 1,200-employee, multi-site healthcare organization. This role involves a mix of email triage, case management, and employee communications.
This is an exciting contract opportunity that is onsite in Woodbury, MN.
Key Responsibilities

Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA, FSA, 401(k), profit sharing, and COBRA.

Coordinate Open Enrollment and benefit eligibility events.

Enter, verify, and maintain benefit and leave data in the HRIS system; reconcile for accuracy.

Respond to employee questions related to benefits, leaves, and life events.

Administer and document leave of absence processes (FMLA, medical leave, personal leave, etc.).

Maintain confidentiality and compliance in managing LOA documentation and communications.

Support communication with employees on LOA and workers’ compensation claims to ensure a positive and professional experience.

Guide managers on LOA procedures and escalate complex cases to HR leadership or legal teams.

Assist with preparation and submission of workers’ compensation claims and documentation.

Run reports and assist with audits and data requests as needed.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HR regulations and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a healthcare setting

Hands-on experience with benefits and/or leave administration

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with HRIS systems

Understanding of HIPAA, FMLA, and other benefits-related regulations

Customer-service mindset and ability to work with all levels of staff

Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented
Work Environment

Primarily onsite at the client’s Woodbury, MN office

Option to work remotely one day per week after training

Standard hours: 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm
