Food Safety & Quality Technician – 3rd Shift

Carlisle, IA | Monday – Friday, 11pm – 7am

Join a well-established food manufacturing team just outside Des Moines as a Food Safety & Quality Technician on third shift. In this full-time role, you’ll help ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality throughout the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine lab testing, audits, and verifications to support food safety and product quality
• Monitor GMP and sanitation compliance across the facility
• Partner with operations on product holds, sensory evaluations, and decision-making
• Assist with food safety training and documentation
• Serve as backup for flour quality monitoring and lab compliance

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field preferred
• 1-3 years of analytical lab or quality assurance experience in food, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently on third shift and collaborate across teams
• Comfortable using computer-based systems and adaptable to changing priorities
