Job Title: Bilingual (Spanish) HR Assistant

Job Summary:
Beacon Hill’s client in Hull, IA is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish) HR Assistant to provide administrative support to the HR team. This role plays a vital part in supporting day-to-day HR operations, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, compliance tracking, employee file maintenance, and delivering excellent service to a diverse workforce. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish and comfortable supporting Spanish-speaking employees with translation and communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Support & Communication

Respond to employee questions and concerns; escalate as needed to HR leadership.

Provide in-person and written Spanish translation for HR-related matters, training, and communication.

Serve as a backup for the front desk receptionist and participate in employee recognition activities.
Recruiting & Onboarding Support

Schedule candidate interviews and coordinate employment screenings including drug testing, background checks, and fit testing.

Assist in onboarding activities, including orientation scheduling and I-9 verification in Workday.

Set up employee access (key fobs, break codes) and guide new hires through onboarding systems.
Records & Compliance

Maintain accurate employee personnel and medical files.

Track employee attendance using internal software; generate and distribute reports.

Support performance review tracking and follow-up.

Ensure timely updates in the HRIS system and maintain confidentiality of all employee data.

Assist in distributing benefit information and compliance notices (FMLA, COBRA, insurance, etc.).
Administrative Support

Print and prepare materials for hiring, training, and team meetings.

Post and distribute HR-related communications throughout the facility.

Support special projects and general HR documentation as needed.

Help coordinate health screenings, engagement surveys, and open enrollment.
Compliance & Safety

Participate in monthly safety meetings and report any food safety or compliance concerns.

Understand and adhere to safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Support a safe and inclusive work environment for all employees.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; HR coursework or certification preferred.

1-2 years of HR or administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.

Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred).

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
