Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Temporary Payroll Clerk to support our payroll operation. This position is responsible for managing the accurate and timely processing of payroll using the Paycor HRIS system. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Paycor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of payroll administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process semi-monthly payrolls in Paycor for multi-state employees
- Review and audit employee timesheets and payroll data for accuracy and completeness
- Enter and update employee information, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and deductions in Paycor
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with year-end processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution
- Support Payroll and HR teams with ad hoc projects and reporting needs
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience required
- Experience with Paycor HRIS system is required
- Familiarity with multi-state payroll processing preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional Information:
- This is a contract role with an anticipated duration of 5-6 months.
