As the Senior Tax Analyst, you will progressively work towards a management position in an immersive environment. You will be managing multi-jurisdictional tax compliance operations, including timely remittance of tax payments and preparation of returns, for a large-scale organization providing financial administrative services across multiple states.
This opportunity is direct hire, hybrid, and located in Mesa, Arizona.
Expectations
- Research tax regulations, develop tax filing and payment strategies, and train staff on standard policies and procedures.
- Examines all payroll records to ensure proper recording of tax transactions and compliance with applicable laws
- Completes monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reconciliations as appropriate to ensure accurate filings. May be required to perform audits more frequently depending on jurisdiction.
- Performs W-2 reconciliations and processes corrections as required.
- Investigates and resolves tax notices, penalties and questionnaire requests
Requirements
– Bachelors in Accounting or a related field
– 4+ Years’ experience in multi-state payroll/taxes and knowledge of domestic employer filing requirements
– Advanced knowledge of payroll, employment taxation and accounting required
– Excellent analytical, technical and tax accounting/technology skills with knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), tax compliance and corporate consolidated return
