MUST HAVES:
- Full-processing payroll experience
- Multi-State payroll experience.
- Require 5+ years of stable, high-volume payroll processing experience
- Strong PC skills including intermediate MS Word and advanced MS Excel – specifically Pivot Tables and V lookup experience
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle weekly and biweekly payroll processing for 5K multi-state employees
- Research payroll, tax and garnishment related inquiries and take appropriate action to resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Audit preview and post payroll reports for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with adding or closing tax jurisdictions
- Process garnishments and other court orders in a timely manner by mail or serving the employees and setting up deductions into the payroll system
- Assists with year-end payroll processing duties to ensure accurate and timely W2s
- Import time & attendance, payroll and benefits deduction data
- Maintain supporting documentation of all payrolls
- Manipulate data in MS Excel spreadsheets to identify accuracy and errors
- Calculate pay, manual checks, and FLSA overtime
- Maintain the strictest confidence and confidentiality pertaining to all payroll matters
- Partner with HR and Legal on payroll and benefit related issues
- Fill in for Payroll Manager, as needed
- May assist with payroll processing and related projects
- Perform other job duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager or Payroll Director
