My client, an Energy Company in NYC, is looking to hire an Accounting Manager to lead and manage the Accounting functions. In this role you will report to the Controller on a day to day basis and partner with the FP&A team as well. You will be responsible for month end close, journal entries, and reconciliations. You will help improve timeliness and efficiency of monthly/quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations and manage the corporate P&L. Additionally, you will support year-end audit and interact with external auditors as required. This is a fast paced, evolving company that is very well funded. You will have a ton of flexibility, autonomy and work in an entrepreneurial environment. Both senior leaders have been at the firm for 5+ years as well so a strong team with strong communication and transparency exists. You are in 2 days a week (can be flexible) and will manage 1 Senior Accountant to start. Ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ of experience in Accounting and have a combination of public/private experience. Any exposure to NetSuite a plus but not required.
