Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Accountant (7+ years’ experience) to join our client and work closely with leadership to ensure DCAA compliance, oversee government accounting processes, and help position the team for long-term success.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
- Minimum of 7 years’ professional accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of DCAA compliance and government contract accounting.
- Proficiency with Procast (Deltek Costpoint or Deltac ok).
- Ability to work independently, hit the ground running, and manage priorities effectively.
Plusses:
- Experience working in or with government agencies or federal contractors.
- Demonstrated success in process improvement and scaling finance functions.
- Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with DCAA regulations and government accounting standards.
- Review and ensure proper allocation and tracking of financial data within the organization.
- Oversee and manage project cost tracking using Procast (preferred), Deltek Costpoint, or Deltac.
- Collaborate closely with leadership to refine processes and reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and reports for accuracy.
- Support audits and ensure documentation meets federal contract requirements.
