We are supporting a growing manufacturing organization in their search for a Cost Accountant to join the Finance team. This role will serve as the primary financial partner to operations and supply chain leadership, with a focus on cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis.
The ideal candidate will bring strong cost/manufacturing accounting experience, the ability to work independently, and the drive to deliver meaningful insights that improve decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities

Partner with operations and supply chain teams to analyze manufacturing costs, production variances, and cost drivers.

Maintain and monitor standard costing models across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Lead monthly reviews of cost of goods sold, inventory changes, and reserves; provide clear analysis to management.

Serve as the finance lead for inventory counts, including reconciliation of ERP data with 3PL-managed inventory.

Prepare and deliver detailed margin and cost analyses to guide pricing, forecasting, and strategic decisions.

Provide ERP expertise on operational transactions such as job orders and material movements, supporting cross-functional users.

Manage and maintain fixed assets in SAGE, including capitalization, disposals, transfers, and cost updates.

Coordinate intercompany transactions for inventory movement across entities.

Support the annual budgeting process, specifically focusing on COGS, margins, and inventory planning.

Translate large ERP data sets into actionable reporting through advanced Excel and spreadsheet modeling.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal controls.

Assist with audits, regulatory reporting, and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification a plus.

5+ years of professional accounting/finance experience, including at least 3 years in cost or manufacturing accounting.

Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory management, and variance analysis.

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems; prior SAGE experience highly preferred.

Solid understanding of GAAP and related regulations.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across functions.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
