A national law firm seeks a Construction Litigation Paralegal to join their team in Orlando, FL.

This position will collect, analyze, organize, and maintain factual

information and documents, both electronic and hard copies, in

accordance with correct legal practice and procedure. Will draft legal

documents, including motions, affidavits, and discovery. Will research and

analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other

legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys. Will perform all

aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery

requests and subpoenas; and compiling and organizing coding/indexing

documents. Will prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which

may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other items.

Will Assist attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending

trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations. On a case-specific basis, will

oversee the organization and maintenance of the case file and case

management spreadsheet and delegate to and oversee the tasks of

department assistants and/or file clerks, as needed.

Paralegal Certificate/Degree OR ten years of litigation paralegal experience.

In-depth knowledge of Florida and U.S. District Court laws, court procedures,

and electronic discovery.

Experience with all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trial.

Experience coordinating trial/arbitration logistics, including negotiating for

workspace, setting-up remote office space, and coordinating with clients and

vendors.

Experience maintaining processes to collect, store, and maintain paper and

electronic case files.

Experience with court and administrative agency filings, including electronic or e-

filings.

Experience using e-discovery databases and litigation support software for

document production, witness files, and deposition transcripts and exhibits.

Construction litigation experience is preferred.
