Job Title: Bilingual HR Coordinator (Spanish/English)
Location: Le Sueur, MN (Onsite, full-time)
Assignment Type: Contract (Starting mid-October-March with possibility of extension)
Summary:
Beacon Hill’s client in Le Sueur, MN is seeking a Bilingual HR Coordinator (Spanish/English) to support HR functions during a leave of absence. This role provides assistance in recruitment, payroll, benefits, training, employee relations, and special projects while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The HR Coordinator will also conduct new hire orientations, maintain personnel files, prepare reports, and serve as a backup HR Business Partner. Bilingual Spanish/English skills are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate hourly onboarding with Talent Acquisition.
- Schedule and track screenings (DOT/Non-DOT drug tests, audiology exams, Functional Capacity Exams).
- Facilitate start dates and new hire orientation paperwork.
- Conduct new hire orientations.
- Close out jobs in Workday and issue candidate rejection letters.
- Provide employees with information about benefits and training programs.
- Maintain personnel records for current and former employees.
- Track employee absences and follow up with supervisors/managers.
- Assist with payroll questions and timecard completion.
- Support the HR Business Partner with general HR functions and special projects.
- Manage employee recognition programs and anniversary tracking.
- Provide Spanish translation support for operations, training, quality assurance, and employee communications.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in committees (safety, engagement, community involvement).
- Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR needs and concerns.
- Ensure HR policies are administered consistently and in compliance with laws.
- Promote safety and quality programs and enforce facility safety rules.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Minimum 2 years of human resources experience preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the plant.
- Ability to move around the manufacturing floor and engage with employees.
- Workday and UKG Timekeeping experience preferred.
- Food manufacturing experience (safety & GMP exposure) a plus.
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Onsite in a manufacturing facility, with time split between office and plant floor.
- Monday-Friday, 8-4pm (Must of flexiblility for meetings before or after hours)
- Contract beginning mid-October (potential to start earlier).
