Our client is looking for a dynamic, go-getter Events Director to lead the planning, strategy, and execution of a wide variety of events – from weekly activations to large-scale seasonal festivals. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a true jack-of-all-trades, and isn’t afraid to tackle any task, big or small, with a “can-do” attitude. This is an onsite role based in Virginia Beach, VA, with a five-day workweek and the flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan, manage, and execute events of all sizes – weekly gatherings, monthly themed nights, quarterly celebrations, and large-scale festivals.
- Own budgeting, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and on-site production.
- Coordinate logistics: venues, permits, staffing, AV/production, décor, and entertainment.
- Collaborate across teams to create seamless, unforgettable guest experiences.
- Track event success with KPIs and post-event reporting.
- Bring fresh ideas and industry trends to elevate every event.
- Execute events during evenings and weekends as needed – no task is too big or small.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of event management experience, including large-scale productions.
- Strong project management, budgeting, and vendor management skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities.
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail and audience experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with festivals, outdoor events, or community activations is a plus.
- Positive, solutions-oriented, and ready to go the extra mile.
