Our client, a financial services company in Austin, TX is currently looking for a Temp to Permanent Learning & Development Specialist/Trainer to join their team. This role starts fully onsite for the first 2 months before shifting to a hybrid schedule of one day working from home. This role reports directly to the Human Resources Director to manage the coordination of all trainings internally. Hours for this position are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm with the trial period being up to 6 months. Compensation is up to 130K based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to determine learning objectives and identify content requirements.
- Manage the Learning Management System (Cornerstone).
- Align learning objectives, content and assessments with business drivers.
- Create and administer training event feedback mechanisms. Analyzes results and works with leadership to implement changes in curriculum and/or courses as needed.
- Coordinate the implementation of newly developed curriculum with management,
- internal stakeholders and association management.
- Travel off-site to facilitate or monitor instructor-led training sessions. Conducts training classes by presenting job-specific, company-specific, and software applications training classes.
- Utilize project management skills to define and meet project milestones, communicate issues and risks in a timely manner, manage expectations and deliver results.
- Partner with stakeholders to update and manage content in Cornerstone (Learning Management System). Responsible for configuring and maintaining the registration
- portion of Cornerstone and responding to any and all inquiries from enrollees.
- Communicate with learners and management on request status and resolution (includes training status, addressing learner questions about training completions and logistics)
- Distribute surveys to capture relevant feedback from trainees
- Monitor and provide reports on all training programs to FCBT management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or 2-4 years of experience in organizational training and development
- Experience utilizing adult learning principles, methodologies, and instructional design techniques to develop, implement and deliver training to end users
- Customer service, project management and event planning skills
- Learning Management Systems Experience; Cornerstone experience preferred
- HR/Leadership training experience preferred
