A national plaintiffs’ law firm with a strong reputation for high-stakes litigation is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing Tampa, Florida office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is motivated, detail-oriented, and interested in meaningful plaintiff-side work.
The Practice
The firm focuses on complex, multi-defendant litigation on behalf of individuals and families who have suffered serious illness. Matters frequently involve extensive discovery, significant motion practice, and trial preparation, with cases often resulting in substantial recoveries for clients.
The Role
As a Litigation Associate in the Tampa office, you will gain exposure to all phases of complex litigation, including:
- Case investigation and factual development
- Managing written discovery and document review
- Taking and defending depositions
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
- Preparing cases for trial and participating in trial proceedings
Associates typically serve as second or third chair at trial, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility, including first-chair trial work, as experience grows.
This role involves frequent client interaction, often with individuals and families navigating extraordinarily difficult circumstances. Successful candidates will demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and the ability to build trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience, including trial experience
- Member of the Florida Bar in good standing
Preferred Experience
- Prior litigation experience, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions
- Judicial clerkship experience is welcomed
- Prior experience in complex litigation is helpful but not mandatory

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $120,000 – $185,000 + year-end discretionary bonus
