Position Title: Human Resources Generalist
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,000 annually
Schedule: 4 days onsite per week
Additional Perks: Metro pass or $80/month parking reimbursement
Position Summary
Beacon Hill’s client in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a proactive and experienced Human Resources Generalist to support their dynamic and technical team. This is a standalone HR role ideal for someone who thrives working independently and is comfortable partnering with engineers and cross-functional teams. The HR Generalist will oversee all aspects of human resources operations, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, visa support, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Partner with the Operations Manager to assess staffing needs.
- Lead and participate in the full-cycle recruiting process, including interviews and candidate evaluations.
- Manage sourcing efforts via job boards, social media, career fairs, and referrals.
- Promote diversity and inclusion in hiring practices.
- Track recruitment metrics and optimize processes.
- Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a smooth new hire experience.
Benefits Administration
- Handle daily benefits operations including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Serve as liaison with benefits providers and ensure regulatory compliance.
Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
HR Systems & Reporting
- Maintain HRIS and personnel records (SuccessFactors – SAP).
Employee Relations
- Foster a positive work environment through communication, conflict resolution, and engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a technical or engineering setting.
- Experience managing employee documentation and visa processes.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and reporting tools.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
