Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Legal Assistant to join a business-oriented law firm in Dallas. As the Litigation Legal Assistant, you’ll provide secretarial and administrative support to attorneys and/or paralegals, enhancing their effectiveness through information management, client interaction, and documentation of billable time. This opportunity is full-time, direct hire, and fully on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, draft, revise, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
- E-file documents in both state and federal courts
- Maintain and organize case files, both physical and electronic
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, depositions, and court deadlines
- Handle confidential communications with clients, courts, and internal staff with professionalism and discretion
- Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare expense reports
- Input attorney time and manage client billing-related tasks
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, court personnel, and other stakeholders
- Provide administrative support including answering phones, managing mail, and general clerical duties
- Assist with personal business matters as needed, maintaining strict confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years in a litigation support role (legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal)
- Strong knowledge of e-filing procedures in both state and federal courts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to type 80+ WPM
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional demeanor
- Exceptional attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines

While this role is internally referred to as a Legal Assistant, it aligns with the market-level expectations of a Paralegal in terms of skill and responsibility – minus billable hour requirements or trial travel. We encourage candidates with strong litigation support experience to apply, regardless of title.
