Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with 10+ years’ experience to join a boutique law firm located in North Dallas. This critical role will provide high-level support to the litigation team in managing active Federal and State cases. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience, a sharp eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering top-tier legal services. This is a direct hire, full-time, in-office position reporting directly to a Principal/Attorney. Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft initial pleadings and discovery documents for attorney review
- Prepare court filings with accurate citations, tables of contents/authorities, certifications, and declarations
- Manage the firm’s litigation calendar, including deadlines, hearings, depositions, and mediations
- Assemble detailed trial, mediation, and deposition exhibits and notebooks
- Monitor attorney email accounts for case-related correspondence and documents
- Organize and label electronic discovery materials and manage case indexing
- Record billable hours accurately and promptly using time management software
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial phases
- Deep understanding of Federal and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
- Skilled in identifying litigation deadlines and applying procedural rules, local rules, and standing orders
- Extensive experience in civil business litigation and managing complex case files
- Proficient in electronic filing systems for both state and federal courts
- Strong drafting abilities for pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
- Familiarity with e-discovery platforms such as Reveal or Relativity
- Expertise in organizing large volumes of discovery and electronic document management
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Adobe Pro
- Strong legal calendaring skills, including deadline tracking and scheduling
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred (experience may substitute)
- Accurate and timely entry of billable hours into time management software
